Some of the Premier League's top sides including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham could be impacted by proposed plans to reform the Champions League in 2024.
That's according to The Telegraph, which is reporting that future FA Cup winners could potentially qualify for the Champions League under new rules being agreed by UEFA. However, this would only come into effect if they are a club highly ranked on the UEFA co-efficient list or they have finished one place outside the Champions League places.
For example, if the proposed rules already existed today and Crystal Palace won the FA Cup this season, they would not qualify for the Champions League as they have no co-efficient ranking due to not competing in Europe recently. Arsenal, on the other hand, would have been eligible after winning the competition in 2020.
