Tottenham have brought in multiple players from the lower leagues over the years, and one of their most recent successes is Dele Alli. The attacking midfielder joined Spurs in an initial £5m deal at the age of 18 and has gone on to star in north London. He’s already made over 200 appearances for the club, and it’s crazy to think that he’s only approaching his 24th birthday!
Gareth Bale also joined Tottenham in an initial £5m deal eight years prior to Alli’s arrival. The Welshman broke through at Southampton as a left-back, but in north London, transformed himself into one of the best attacking wide men in world football.
