The £12 a night 'stunning' beachside campsite that families flock to every summer

With the warmer weather upon us, families will no doubt be looking for somewhere they can escape to for a few days.

If you're looking to keep costs down this year, then you might be considering camping, or already have all the gear but no idea of where to go.

Pitches aren't allocated so you're left to explore and and pitch up wherever takes your fancy. And there are various areas you can camp in, from being right next to the beach listening to the rolling waves, hidden away in the trees or closer to all the facilities.

Most of the facilities are centrally located in the middle of the Island behind the leisure complex.

Camping is the cheapest option, with peak prices (July to September) £12 a night per adult and £6.25 a night for children, aged three to 15. At busier times such as bank holidays, there can a be a minimum two or three night stay.

If you don't fancy camping, there are beach chalets and flats you can book for up to six people.

The people who have stayed on the site have given it mostly rave
