'That was bananas' - Ryan Reynolds and Ben Foster share heartwarming moment after Wrexham penalty heroics

Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds was left in awe of former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster following his last-minute penalty save helped the Welsh side beat Notts County 3-2.

Billed as the biggest game in National League history, the Red Dragons and Magpies put on a footballing spectacle in front of a full house at the Racecourse Ground. After a nervy first half of few chances, Notts went ahead in stoppage time thanks to a stunning John Bostock free kick.

Phil Parkinson's side came out the stronger after the interval and were level shortly afterwards thanks to top scorer Paul Mullin. Jacob Mendy's strike with just over 20 minutes remaining looked to have put the hosts in control but five minutes later Kyle Cameron's header levelled things again.

After the game Reynolds made his way pitchside to congratulate Foster on his crucial role in the victory and BT Sport captured the conversation in full. After sharing a big hug, Foster said: "It doesn't get better does it."

Reynolds: "You son of a b****. What was that about? You are too old for that."

Foster: "I got cramp when I got up."

Reynolds: "I bet you did. I have so much arthritis messing up in my back I am not even kidding. What the f***. That was just bananas."

Foster: "You cannot write that."

Reynolds: "That was the most dramatic thing I have ever seen in my life. Are you just leaving? Is that what you do?"

Foster: "I am
