'Thanks for the reminder' - Marcus Rashford sends Alejandro Garnacho message after Man United win

Marcus Rashford has thanked Alejandro Garnacho after the Argentine reminded him to perform his customary celebration during Manchester United's thumping 7-0 win over Barnsley. Erik ten Hag's side ran riot at Old Trafford to book their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Rashford gave United the lead in the 16th minute. The 26-year-old, who scored his first of the season in the 3-0 success at Southampton on Saturday, found his name on the scoresheet once more as he dribbled beyond a couple of players before smashing the ball in the top corner.

It was a fine finish from the England international, with Rashford making his way over to the North East corner of the stadium before celebrating in front of the United fans. As usual, he decided to do his usual 'workout' celebration, which saw him shut his eyes and point his index finger to his temple.

But after the game, Rashford, who didn't use that celebration following his goal against Southampton, admitted that Garnacho reminded him to perform it this time around.

In an Instagram post, Rashford said: "Qualified! Well done lads. Thanks for the reminder @garnacho7," alongside the backhand index pointing right emoji, two men pouting emojis and the backhand index pointing left emoji. This was followed by two football emojis and the A emoji - showing that he scored twice and added an assist.

United were in full control throughout the game and scored a second in the 35th minute through Antony. Garnacho added a third just before half-time before completing his brace moments after the break. Rashford would add another on the hour mark to make it
