Tesco makes huge price announcement to shoppers ahead of Christmas season

To help customers make their money go further during the festive season, Tesco has announced it will be freezing prices on more than a thousand everyday products. The retailer hopes the inflation-busting move will support customers during the countdown to Christmas.

From today, the prices of at least 1,000 products from the Low Everyday Prices category will be capped at their current price until 2023.

The Low Everyday Prices range covers various products and brands, from cupboard staples and teatime favourites, to household and health and beauty products.

Manchester Evening News’ regular supermarket comparisons has seen prices creeping up week after week, but Tesco say ‘out customers can count on Tesco’s price to stay the same until 2023’.

Some of the products featured in the freeze include McCain Home Chips and Nescafe Original 3-in-1, as well as Heinz baked beans snack pots and Ski strawberry mousse.

Here are some examples of the prices products will be frozen at until the New Year:
