Terence Crawford names his top five pound for pound fighters in the world right now

Terence Crawford has his eyes set on an undisputed welterweight clash with Errol Spence JR who currently holds the IBF/WBA/WBC belts with the WBO being under Crawford’s ownership at the moment.

He has obstacles in his way however, not only is he not as big a name to sell on a pay-per-view event like Spence, but he only has the one belt from four.

Capturing all four junior middleweight belts by fighting the winner of Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu could certainly help him boost his claim to a fight with Spence.

Recently, Crawford was asked for his top five pound-for-pound fighters for DAZN Boxing’s YouTube channel, here are his top five in no particular order…

1. Terence Crawford

There’s no surprise to see a boxer back themselves and stay away from taking the modest route, without hesitation he threw himself in.

It’s not just a case of he being arrogant however, Ring Magazine’s list, ranking the best pound-for-pound fighter in all weight divisions includes him. They make him out to be third on the list and has been present on it for a staggering 371 weeks.

2. Naoya Inoue

The Japanese fighter recently made headlines when he unified the WBA, WBC and IBF bantamweight titles after a crushing defeat of Nonito Donaire, knocking him out inside the first two rounds.

Mike Tyson also reacted to a compilation of Naoya Inoue, claiming him to be ‘vicious’ and ‘a mean son of a b*tch.’ He then claimed he was better than Manny Pacquiao!
