Temba Bavuma named Test captain in shake-up of South African cricket

Dean Elgar, who became the Test captain in 2021 has been axed from the leadership role but included in the squad for the West Indies series which starts from February 28.Cricket South Africa described the series of changes as "part of a restructure within the leadership group of the national team".Another casualty of the shake-up is the chief selector Victor Mpitsang, who has been "released" from the role.
