Talks held: Man City now eyeing £46.6m man for Pep as more transfer news comes out of Eastlands

According to Brazilian news outlet Torcedores, as Manchester City close in on the signing of Savinho from Atletico-MG, it appears they have now have entered talks over signing another one of their gems in Yan Philipe.

As per reliable reporter Fabrizio Romano, Man City are eyeing a deal to sign Savinho and the negotiations are at a fairly advanced stage.

Indeed, the transfer journalist says an ‘official bid’ was sent just days ago and ‘medical tests’ are already booked in for the exciting 17-year-old forward.

City Football Group (CFG) will apparently pay €6.5m (£5.4m) plus add ons and the insertion of a sell-on clause, but as news from South America emerges, it appears the Sky Blues aren’t finished there.

According to Torcedores, as translated by Sport Witness, City are now eyeing a move for Atletico-MG midfielder Philipe on top of Savinho.

The 17-year-old, yet another teenage talent from the Americas, is indeed at the centre of interest from CFG with ‘initial’ talks even being held over his signing.

Philipe, however, is protected by a €56 million (£46.6m) release clause and a deal until 2023 which renews automatically upon promotion to the first team.

As City expand their scope far and wide in search of the world’s brightest young talents, Brazil is certainly a familiar nesting ground.

Gabriel Jesus has gone on to be a regular at Eastlands since signing from Palmeiras, with other promising players tipped for real stardom like right-back Yan Couto and attacker Kayky following him from the continent since.

News of even more talent coming from Brazil should excite Sky Blues supporters as CFG scouts continue to make big moves for manager Pep Guardiola and the club.
