Talented Newcastle United youngster set to sign new deal
Newcastle United are expected to wrap up a deal for talented teenager Dylan Stephenson in due course. The striker has netted 10 goals in 16 appearances in Premier League 2 this season and has been the stand out performer for the Magpies at under-23 level.
Stephenson has been at the club since the age of 14 after joining following a stint from Newcastle City Juniors but has risen through the ranks after being a star in last season's FA Youth Cup run to the quarter-finals. Since then he has been a regular scorer for the second string.
First-team boss Eddie Howe has already ran the rule over Stephenson in senior training as well as taking a look from the stands at Whitley Park. And it's fair to say that Howe has been impressed with the 19-year-old prospect after sanctioning an extension to his deal, which runs out this summer.

The short-term objectives for Stephenson will be to help Newcastle reach the Premier League 2 play-offs and secure the Techflow Marine Senior Cup. United's young guns booked a place in the final at St James' Park after beating North Shields on penalties and now face Blyth Spartans on May 5.
