Tabby McTat on BBC One: What time it is on and the cast behind the voices
Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without an animated family film on television. In previous years we've enjoyed The Snowman, Father Christmas, The Gruffalo, and The Snail and the Whale.
This year is no exception with Tabby McTat set to delight audiences at home on Christmas Day afternoon. The animated adventure is set on the streets of London and tells the story of the friendship between a musical cat and a busker called Fred.
But Tabby McTat and Fred’s musical friendship is ruptured when Fred chases a thief, breaks his leg and is whisked off to hospital, leaving Tabby McTat lost and alone.

Tabby then meets the slinky Sock, falls in love and has babies. And when Fred reappears, Tabby is confronted with a difficult choice and torn feelings between two homes and two families.
The animation has been adapted from the popular picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
The story, which will air on BBC One, will be narrated by former Dr Who Jodie Whittaker. She said: “Tabby McTat is such a beautiful story about embracing change and the transitions in life as well - from childhood to adulthood and people going on journeys.
"There is so much warmth and celebration of family and community, but then there's also, the moments of fear and loss that is often a gain.”
Tabby McTat will air on Christmas Day on BBC One at 2.35pm.
Behind the voices of Tabby McTat are a host of famous actors and celebrities. Here is the full list:
