Swansea City transfer headlines as Martin says loan players will likely leave and Garrick issues apology

Your Swansea City headlines for Tuesday, May 3.

Jordon Garrick issued an apology to Plymouth Argyle fans after the Pilgrims missed out on the League One play-offs on the final day of the campaign.

The Home Park outfit have been serious contenders for promotion throughout the campaign but a poor run towards the end of the campaign along with a 5-0 loss to MK Dons on the final day saw them miss out on the top six. Garrick has been a key figure for Plymouth throughout the season, scoring seven goals in 50 appearances in all competitions for the club.

But after their final day heartache, the Swansea attacker took to social media to thank all at Plymouth for their support during the course of the 2021/22 campaign.

"Aaah don’t even know where to start with this one, firstly just want to apologise for today not the way you great fans deserved to end the season too, but as always thank you for the support not just today but through the whole season," he wrote on Twitter.

"I want to say thank you personally for the love, support, and positivity you’ve shown me since I came to the club, if it is my last game in green or not I wish @only1argyle the very best the staff, the players, fans you have something special! Nothing but love always!"

Garrick's Swansea contract expires in the summer of 2023.
