Swanky city centre apartment block launches Manchester's first free doggy daycare for its residents

The developers behind a new site in the centre of Manchester have launched the city's first free doggy daycare service.

The £200 million residential scheme MeadowSide, which overlooks Angel Meadow Park, has now made free pet care available to all of its dog-owning residents.

Homeowners living in the 750 apartments, townhouses and penthouses in both Mount Yard and the soon-to-be completed Gate and Stile buildings can now take full advantage of the complimentary service whilst they go back into the office or head out for the day.

Dog owners can book up to four walks a week through the apartment’s concierge service, with a dedicated dog walker picking up and dropping off dogs without the need for the owners to be in.

Far East Consortium launched the service, in partnership with Manchester-based dog walkers Furry Chums, to support pet-owning professionals, including those who adopted dogs since the start of the pandemic and are returning to office and hybrid working.

Andrew Bradley-Nixon, sales and marketing director at FEC, said: “We wanted to introduce this unique service to give residents a little more freedom but also peace of mind that their pets are in safe hands and getting the exercise they need.

“The launch cements MeadowSide’s spot as the most pet-friendly place to live in Manchester, given this new service with the team at Furry Chums and its location next to Angel Meadow Park – the city centre’s largest green space.”

MeadowSide is a pet-friendly housing development of more than 750 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, townhouses and penthouses.

The Gate and Stile residential blocks capture the essence
