Suspicions raised after people seen 'coming and going' at house... before landlady makes shocking discovery

A landlady discovered a huge cannabis farm growing in her unrented house in Whitefield on Wednesday evening (May 22). Suspicions had been raised after people were seen 'coming and going' from the property on Higher Croft, that was supposed to be empty.

A police raid of the house was due to be carried out over the weekend after reports had been made by concerned locals - however the landlady uncovered the huge illegal grow, thought to be worth around £50,000.

Around 140 cannabis plants were growing at the house, along with 71 pots that had been harvested. No arrests have been made in connection with the discovery of the farm, but investigations are ongoing to track down those responsible.
