Surprise faces return to Hotspur Way for Tottenham pre-season training as new signings spotted

Tottenham's pre-season preparations are now underway with a large number of Antonio Conte's Spurs squad back at Hotspur Way. Last week saw the return of Oliver Skipp, Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga to the club's Enfield base after spending time on the sidelines in the second part of last campaign, with Sergio Reguilon and new signing Ivan Perisic also there to get a head start following little injury issues.

The quintet have now been joined by the Spurs players who weren't involved in international action over the summer, including Rodrigo Bentancur, Emerson Royal, Lucas Moura and Harvey White. A video on the club's Twitter page also showed that Davinson Sanchez and Cristian Romero are back despite representing their respective countries on the international stage last month, with new signing Yves Bissouma joining his new teammates for the first time after his summer move from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Familiar faces Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil are also back with the team after spending the final few months of last season on loan at Villarreal and Valencia respectively. Both enjoyed successful loan spells in Spain and they could very well end up on the move again as part of the changes to Conte's Spurs squad.

Pape Matar Sarr is another of the Tottenham squad at Hotspur Way for pre-season training, linking up with the squad for the very first time after immediately returning to Metz on loan last August having joined from the French club. Conte and his coaching staff will take a close look at the Senegal international before deciding on whether he becomes part of their plans for this coming season or he heads out on loan
