Supercomputer predicts Manchester United vs Luton result amid Erik ten Hag pressure

Manchester United will win their Premier League match against Luton Town this weekend and ease the pressure on Erik ten Hag, according to a supercomputer prediction.

United could make it back-to-back league victories with a win at home to Luton on Saturday, easing the pressure which is mounting on Ten Hag. According to supercomputer analysis from BetVictor, United have a 71.4 per cent chance of seeing off Luton at Old Trafford, while a draw is given a 17.5 per cent chance with an away victory an outside shout at 11.1 per cent.

A late Bruno Fernandes goal earned them the three points against Fulham last Saturday but United stumbled in midweek with a controversial 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen in the Champions League. Marcus Rashford was sent off and VAR was at the centre of the attention once again as the English giant once again fell on the big stage.

On the other side of Manchester, City are also expected to get the job done in a tough-looking fixture with Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino's men won 4-1 against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and have generally competed well in the tougher-looking matches so far this season.

The supercomputer only gives Chelsea a 13.2 per cent chance of beating the league leaders. However, Pep Guardiola will know not to take anything for granted.

City have already lost to Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league this season and have been knocked out of the Carabao Cup to Newcastle United. The Spaniard is a perfectionist and those losses will cause him great annoyance despite City's position at the top of the table.
