Sunderland supporters make Seb Larsson point amid Match of The Day Top 10 set-piece list

Sunderland supporters have questioned why former midfielder Seb Larsson has been left out of the Match of The Day Top 10 set-piece takers list. Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards discussed the best set piece takers of all time in the Premier League but the former Black Cats dead ball specialist was not on the list.

Larsson became well known for his ability to score from a direct free kick and ranks fifth in the all-time charts alongside Laurent Robert and Cristiano Ronaldo with 11 goals. Nonetheless, there was no place for the Swedish international in the list.

His exemption has sparked debate online with Sunderland fanzine A Love Supreme tweeting: "Seb Larsson has the same amount of free kick goals as Ronaldo in the Premier League... Should he be on the list?"

The question caused further debate with more Sunderland fans in agreement that Larsson should be included on the list.

replied: "Probably should be yes. Ian Harte and Laurent Robert should definitely be on the list. Most of their polls are very fair on the top 10 they select to be fair, but this one is not quite on the mark."
