Sunday sport: Louth face Armagh, Galway to host Westmeath

Louth and Armagh have kicked off in Inniskeen in the first of Sunday's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Round Two ties.

At 2pm, Galway welcome Westmeath to Pearse Stadium - Padraic Joyce's side are fancied to progress, but Westmeath arrive full of confidence after their victory over Cavan and will believe they can continue their championship run.

Also at 2pm, Dublin face Cavan in Kingspan Breffni. Dublin have restored Evan Comerford in goal and welcome manager Ger Brennan back to the sideline following suspension as they look to respond to their shock defeat against Louth.

The final game of the day gets underway at 3:30pm in Healy Park where Tyrone take on Mayo.

Both counties have shown flashes of their best form this summer, with Tyrone looking to build on their win over Roscommon and Mayo hoping their attacking threat can fire them into the quarter-finals.

All-Ireland camogie champions Galway will be aiming to get their title defence back on track when they travel to face Waterford this afternoon following an opening-round defeat to Cork.

The other game in Group One sees Cork make the trip to Semple Stadium for a Munster derby clash with Tipperary.

Soccer

Scotland World Cup goalscorer John McGinn says the squad can make history on Friday night.

The 1-0 win over Haiti in Boston means the side top Group C after Brazil and Morocco drew 1-1.

That means a clean sheet against the north Africans at Foxborough will see the Scots progress for the first time - and into the last 32.

Tonight, Germany meet Curacao from 6pm and it's the Netherlands taking on Japan from 9pm.
