Stunning scenes as six wickets fall in final over of T20 clash

Malaysian cricketer Virandeep Singh bowled a remarkable over, which saw six wickets fall in six consecutive deliveries in a Nepal Pro Club Championship T20 match.

Singh, who has played 29 T20Is for Malaysia and is an occasional left-arm spinner, delivered the over while playing for Malaysia Club XI against Push Sports Delhi. At the time, Push Sports were 131-3 heading into the final over of their innings.

Singh was tasked with bowling that final over and it did not start well, with the first delivery being given as a wide. However, Push Sports then proceeded to lose their last six wickets in the final six balls of the innings.

First, Mrigank Pathak was out for 39 after skying a catch to Ahmed Faiz at cover. The following ball, Ishan Pandey was run out for 19 after pushing for a second.

Then, Singh proceeded to claim the next four wickets, with all four batters getting out for nought. Anindo Naharay was bowled by Singh with a ball that turned sharply, while Vishesh Saroha was also bowled after attempting a big slog.

Singh then completed a memorable hat trick when he got Jatin Singhal out caught and bowled. To round things off, Singh bowled Sparsh to finish with figures of 5-9 from two overs and leave Push Sports 132-9 from their innings.

Malaysia Club XI went on to win the match by seven wickets, chasing down their target with 15 balls to spare. Singh opened the innings and scored 33 off just 19 balls, unsurprisingly winning the player of the match award for his all-round efforts.

Taking to Twitter after the game, Singh posted an image of the scorecard and wrote: "Thank you all for the messages. What a day. #blessed #5in5"
