Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood is heading to Salford for first solo tour

Stepping into a spotlight of his own, Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood has officially kicked off his long-awaited debut tour - and he's set to appear in Salford next month.

The Strictly star is set to take to the stage at The Lowry on Sunday, May 8, where he will regale guests with stories from his life, from Australia to the West End to his experience as a judge on the hit BBC dance show. The All Balls and Glitter Tour, which runs until May 27, will also see the star give a special performance.

Craig, who has appeared as a judge on Strictly for 18 series - soon to be 19 - will also spill the beans on backstage gossip during the show with his trademark wit and candour. Speaking ahead of the tour, Craig Revel Horwood said: "It's quite scary I have to say. I'm quite nervous about the whole thing because I've never gone out by myself like this.

"Obviously, I've played parts like Miss Hannigan in Annie but you're part of a company and certainly in panto you're constantly breaking the fourth wall, talking to an audience and going in and out of character. This will be totally different.

"When you're talking about yourself in real life it can emotionally difficult as well, although I'm looking forward to baring all in that respect."

Best-known today for being a judge on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, Craig's professional career began back in his home country of Australia, where he appeared in productions including West Side Story and La Cage Aux Folles. When he arrived in Europe, he joined the famous company at the Lido Du Paris as a dancer and then as a principal singer at the Moulin Rouge.

Craig's glittering career has also
