Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez and Karen Hauer 'excited' as they announce major move in joint project

Gorka Marquez and Karen Hauer have said they are 'excited' as they announced a huge update on their upcoming joint project. The Strictly Come Dancing stars are currently preparing for their return to the ballroom this month.

The dancers will first be seen back in the famous Strictly ballroom when the hit dance show returns in a matter of days on Saturday, September 14, with the launch show which was pre-recorded on Wednesday (September 4).

The pro dancer line-up was revealed back in June ahead of the 2024 series, which marks 20 years since Strictly first debuted. Those returning alongside Gorka and Karen include Dianne Buswell, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Johannes Radebe and Vito Coppola.

But away from the BBC One dance contest, Gorka and Karen have a big project of their own on the horizon. Earlier this year, the pair announced they'd be headed back out on tour together again after a year hiatus.

Their newest offering, Speakeasy, which follows their debut tour Firedance will "unlock the door to an undercover world of elegance and iconic dance flavours, from the clandestine New York Speakeasy to the sultry Havana dance floors, and from the Burlesque Cabaret Clubs of the mid 1900s to the glittering mirror balls of Studio 54."

The tour will begin in Dartford in February and was set to end in Leicester in April. But now, Gorka and Karen have revealed they'll be ended their tour in the West End.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the pair said: "We are so excited that SPEAKEASY will have an exclusive West End Performance on 15th April 2025 at the stunning Adelphi Theatre. Pre sale is now live with general on-sale
