Stormers unveil new blue and white URC jerseys: 'Ice tones inspired by European winters'

Defending URC champions, the Stormers, have unveiled their new jerseys for the 2022/23 season.

The home jersey features the team's iconic blue and white hoops, with the added dimension of paint brush strokes.

The away jersey features "ice tones inspired by European winters", highlighting the challenge awaiting on the road. It also provides a visual reminder of home and the passion of Cape rugby fans through the paint brush hoops.

The jerseys feature world-leading technical features such as three-dimensional silicon logos, strategically placed gel grippers for increased ball control on the chest, as well as Exotek moisture-wicking lycra fabrication and four-way stretch for unrestricted movement.

A statement from the Stormers read: "Drawn from the Western Cape's rich art history and central role in the fabric of local communities, this season's jersey features an artistic flair in the design.

"The jersey pays tribute to the vibrancy of the faithful, who paint DHL Stadium, their city and anywhere they are gathered in the colours of their team each time they take the field."

The Stormers won the URC competition last season, defeating the Bulls 18-13 in the final in Cape Town.
