Stones, Ederson, Ake, De Bruyne - Man City injury news and possible return dates

Manchester City have mounting injury problems to contend with during the November break.

Four players - including Ederson and Matheus Nunes - have withdrawn from international duty and Pep Guardiola will be sweating over what impact that will have on his star-studded squad before the resumption. City are due to welcome Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium in their next Premier League game on Saturday, November 25.

Kevin De Bruyne remains the only long-term absentee with a hamstring problem he picked up in the curtain raiser. Here's our latest City injury round-up with possible return dates.

Injury: Muscular

Possible return date: November 25 vs Liverpool

What Guardiola has said: "We'll see after the international break. The doctor said to me it's not bad. I don't know, but I don't want to create tempo [a time-frame]. When he's fit again he'll come back."

Injury: Unspecified

Return date: TBC

A statement from the Portuguese FA read: "The midfielder is unfit for Portugal's two games. Matheus Nunes was declared clinically unfit for games against Liechtenstein and Iceland after undergoing tests."

Injury: Hamstring

Return date: January/February

What Guardiola has said: "He says he feels really good, but still isn't training or running much. I'd say he's the last one to come back and train with us. I won't say two weeks, one week. We don't put pressure, the doctors say next step. No pressure, recover, it's not necessary to do the bad decisions to come back early. Step by step."
