Stoke City player ratings vs Bristol Rovers as penultimate friendly ends in defeat

Stoke City have lost their penultimate friendly of pre-season at Bristol Rovers.

Rovers took the lead mid-way through the second half when Aden Flint put into his own net, shortly after Joe Bursik had saved an Aaron Collins penalty. It was two when the hosts broke from a Stoke corner for Harvey Saunders to nip a shot past Bursik.

Decent block late in first half after Jagielka had slipped. Willing to challenge in the air. 5

Some quick feet to make space for himself but didn't always then make it count. 5

Could drive forward and some promising links. Played in decent passes to wing-backs a couple of times. 6

One super cross through six-yard box just needed a nudge home. Tried to break
