Steven Gerrard: Liverpool icon's classy Facetime gesture to young Reds fan
When popular football freestyler Billy Wingrove was asked to name the better player out of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in a recent interview, he simply couldn’t split the two Premier League icons.
Wingrove, part of the F2 Freestylers YouTube channel has filmed content with both former England internationals, but refused to be drawn on who he preferred working alongside.
“It’s not about who’s better. They’re both different. It’s really tough when you get asked who is better technically because you’re only filming with them for like 45 minutes or an hour. Anyone can have an off day. Or they might not show their best skills,” Wingrove reasoned.
“I must admit Stevie G – out of all the players I’ve ever filmed with – was the one who shocked me the most.
“I’ve never seen anyone strike a football so pure in my entire life. When he misses the target, he misses by like this much [mimes a tiny margin]. The consistency is just on another level.”
However, as impressed as Wingrove was with Gerrard’s ability to strike a ball, it was the former Liverpool captain’s kindness that really stood out to the social media personality.
