Steve Clarke warned Scotland job is 'on the line' and early exit would give SFA chiefs a decision to make

Former Scotland defender Alan Hutton reckons Steve Clarke’s job could be under threat if his Munich flops lose to Switzerland and crash out of Euro 2024.

A 5-1 thrashing in their opening against hosts Germany in the Allianz Arena has left Scotland needing a victory over Murat Yakin’s Swiss side, who defeated Hungary 3-1 in their own Group A opener, to avoid an early exit from the competition.

“There’s no getting away from it, it was a terrible, terrible start to the Euros for Scotland losing 5-1 in the opening game against Germany. And I’m not going to lie, I thought Switzerland would be the easier game of the two left for Scotland but then I watched them against Hungary and it doesn’t seem to be the case! They looked really good moving
