Steve Bruce makes pair of changes against Barnsley as Brighton loanee returns

West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Bruce make two changes for the visit of Barnsley on the final day of the 2020/21 Championship season.

Darnell Furlong returns to the squad after suspension and is straight back into the side. Brighton and Hove Albion loanee Matt Clarke also returns for the final match of this season's loan spell to round out the four-man defence.

Kyle Bartley misses out, as revealed by Bruce yesterday, with an ankle injury picked up this week during training. Conor Townsend is also away on paternity leave.

The Albion boss is also true to his word that Premier League Cup stars Caleb Taylor and Zac Ashworth are involved. The two teenagers have places on the substitutes bench alongside Quevin Castro.

David Button remains in goal to make a fifth consecutive start to end the season for a 10th Championship start of the season. Semi Ajayi remains in the middle and Dara O'Shea is once again in the back four.

Captain Jake Livermore and Jayson Molumby are again alongside each other in the middle of the park, with Adam Reach and Matt Phillips flanking the pair. Further forward, Karlan Grant will be looking to add to 16 goals for the season and is again supported by Grady Diangana.
