Stephen Bradley handed further two game-suspension for 'breaching terms of suspension'

Stephen Bradley has been given a further suspension by the FAI for breaching the terms of his ban.

The Shamrock Rovers manager was hit with a one-game ban for comments he made about Damien MacGraith last month, calling the referee "the worst in the league" after a draw with Derry City.

The punishment was served on Sunday evening in the Hoops' 2-0 victory over Shelbourne at Tallaght Stadium.

But the FAI's suspension list, which was published on Wednesday afternoon, listed Bradley as having two games remaining for "breaching terms of [the] suspension", with photographs emerging afterwards of him appearing to be communicating via walkie-talkie.

A spokesperson for the FAI confirmed that Bradley had "communicated with the team and bench" and that was the reason for the additional punishment.

It echoes what happened to John Caulfield earlier in this season when the Galway manager was spotted speaking to his assistant Ollie Horgan in a game he was supposed to be suspended for.

Rovers have rekindled hopes of completing the historic five-in-a-row of titles in recent weeks, closing the gap to leaders Shels to two points with Sunday's triumph.

Bradley, however, will miss the Drogheda game on Friday week, and Dundalk on 27 October.
