Stephanie Meadow 11 shots off halfway pace set by Charley Hull in Texas

Stephanie Meadow remains off the pace at the halfway point of The Ascendant LPGA in Texas.

The Antrim golfer carded her second 71 of the tournament to sit on level par, 11 shots adrift of England's Charley Hull who posted eight birdies on Friday to take a two-shot lead into the weekend.

Following up an opening round 67, the Englishwoman picked up three shots in her opening nine holes before really picking up steam out of the turn at the Old American Golf Club.

A bogey on her 15th hole did little to derail her momentum, as she scored five birdies down the stretch to head into the weekend on 11-under par.

Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand and China's Xiyu Lin are tied for second on nine under, with the top seven players separated by just four shots.
