Stacey Solomon breaks social media silence after emotional message flooded with support

Stacey Solomon has broken a period of unusual social media silence after her last emotional message was flooded with support. Just like many other mums and dads up and down the country, the Loose Women star faced her son leaving primary school ahead of his next big step in September.

Stacey, 33, has been open about how emotional she has found 11-year-old Leighton rounding off his primary school years before heading to secondary school after the lengthy summer break. Towards the end of last week, the mum-of-five sent an apology to her fans after revealing she has had 'mum guilt' following an 'emotional' day. The mum-of-five took a short break from posting on her Instagram as she marked a milestone with her children.

Writing alongside the picture, Stacy apologised to her fans: "Sorry I've been a bit quiet. Rexy graduated pre school today so it's been an emotional one. Leighton finishes primary school tomorrow and my heart is bursting. Happy Thursday everyone." Later speaking on her Instagram story to her 5.7 million followers, Stacey then revealed she has had 'mum guilt'.

But tonight I just thought 'I need to do something' and now I'm too sweaty to worry about anything so it worked."

It comes after Stacey shared how she'd been juggling life as a mum to her sons Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships and her younger children Rex, Rose and Belle
