St Stephen's Day sport: Leinster travel to Munster; Mullins seeks further Leopardstown glory

Here's the latest from the day's sporting news...

There are five games on the roster in the Premier League on St Stephen's Day, the first of which got underway at 12.30pm.

In the early game, it's scoreless between Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.

Later, Sheffield United welcome Luton Town and Fulham travel to Bournemouth in the 3pm kick-offs, before Liverpool take on Burnley in the hope of climbing back to the top of the table from 5.30pm.

In the final game of the day, Manchester United host Aston Villa from 8pm.

In the Scottish Premiership, Celtic will be looking to restore their five point advantage at the top of the table with victory away to Dundee at 3pm.

A loss for Brendan Rodgers' side would see Dundee move into the top six.

It's derby day in the United Rugby Championship as Munster welcome Leinster from 7.35pm.

A win for Leo Cullen's men would see them go ahead of Glasgow at the top of the table.

Elsewhere, Cardiff meet Dragons from 3pm, and Scarlets host Ospreys at 5.15pm.

Willie Mullins is looking to win the Racing Post Novice Chase for the fourth year in a row this afternoon.

The Carlow trainer saddles the favourite Facile Vega and Sharjah in the Grade One feature on day one of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival.

That one goes to post at 2.20pm.
