St Patrick's Athletic sign striker Ruairí Keating from Cork City

St Patrick's Athletic have signed striker Ruairí Keating from Cork City on what the Inchicore club describe as a "long-term" deal.

The 28-year-old has been nominated for PFAI Premier Division Player of the Year after scoring 15 goals in all competitions last season, including 13 in the league.

Keating joined Cork City for the beginning of the 2022 season, having previously played with Sligo Rovers, Galway United, Finn Harps, Gateshead and Torquay.

Keating said he's delighted to join St Pat's ahead of the 2023 season, when they will again compete in Europe having finished third in the league and won the Sports Direct FAI Cup.

"From speaking to the manager here and the chairman, everything has gone really well, from the first chat we had, it's been made very easy from me. I think we have the same vision going forward, and hopefully we can have lots of success in the future."

For his part, Daly said he's very happy to have secured the services of a proven goalscorer.

"He has shown over the last number of years that he is one of the best strikers in the
