St George Illawarra's Madison Bartlett handed one-match NRLW suspension for biting

St George Illawarra winger Madison Bartlett has been suspended for one match after pleading guilty to a biting charge at the NRLW judiciary. 

Bartlett was referred straight to the judiciary following an incident involving Parramatta's Sereana Naitokatoka in the first half of the Dragons' 10-0 win over the Eels in Wollongong on Sunday.

Naitokatoka tackled Bartlett, appearing to have her left arm wrapped across her opponent's face.

Bartlett claimed her actions were a «reflex clench» and not a voluntary action when Naitokatoka's arm made contact.

NRL counsellor Lachlan Giles sought a suspension of up to three weeks, but the judiciary panel decided Bartlett would only be banned for one match.

Bartlett will miss the Dragons' clash with three-time premiers Brisbane at the Western Sydney Stadium on Sunday.

The Dragons will also be without back rower Kody House, who accepted a one-match ban for a shoulder charge.

The Broncos and Dragons are the only two unbeaten teams following two rounds of the minor premiership.
