Sri Lanka set 165 to win T20 vs Australia

Australia have set Sri Lanka 165 runs to win in the second Twenty20 International at the SCG.

After Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl, Josh Inglis' top score of 48 from 32 balls helped Australia finish at 6-164.

The 26-year-old, who only made his debut at this level on Friday, was beginning to find his groove with some classy shots when he scooped Hasaranga de Silva to Dasun Shanaka at cover to watch the chance of a half-century go begging.

Inglis had earlier been riding his luck, involved in two possible run-out mix-ups involving Glenn Maxwell and Steve Smith.

The England-born batsman had given Australia some solidity after Aaron Finch (25 from 20 balls) and Ben McDermott (18 from 15 balls) were dismissed after making starts.

The umpire's call had saved Finch on two separate reviews before he was stumped by Dinesh Chandimal on a slower Hasaranga delivery.

The most bizarre wicket of the night came when Sri Lanka appealed a Maxwell reverse sweep for a caught behind.

The Australian seemingly missed the ball but RTS showed a spike when the ball was next to his glove.

Nothing showed up on hotspot but the RTS spike was enough for the third umpire to overturn the call and send the Australian packing.

Dushmantha Chameera took the scalps of Smith and Marcus Stoinis with back-to-back balls to help slow Australia's progress.

The Australian bowling attack will be without Mitchell Starc who has been rested in favour of Kane Richardson.
