Spurs 2-1 Fulham: Richarlison booked for celebrating disallowed goal
Tottenham Hotspur picked up another Premier League win on Saturday afternoon.
After a 1-1 draw away at West Ham United on Wednesday evening, Antonio Conte’s side recorded victory in another London derby versus Fulham.
Goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and the in-form Harry Kane saw Spurs bag all three points, although things were rather tense for them in the final stages of the game.
An 83rd minute goal from Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is proving to everyone that he can cut in the English top-flight, meant the hosts were hanging on to some degree.
But Spurs thought they had made sure of the win at the very start of stoppage-time when Richarlison tapped the ball in from close-range.
Sadly for the Brazilian forward, the goal was eventually disallowed after those operating VAR declared that he was offside.
And to make matters worse for Richarlison, that call made his celebration look rather silly.
The former Everton man whipped off his shirt and charged over to the home fans, which of course saw him booked by the referee.
Getting yellow carded for celebrating a disallowed goal? Yeah, that’s gotta hurt…
“It’s only Fulham apparently”Nice celebration, @richarlison97. pic.twitter.com/kjuiSmFOAE
