South Africa, Nigeria shine in golf at AMG

At the ongoing 2nd Africa Military Games, the golf competition has witnessed thrilling performances by teams from the continent.

South Africa and Nigeria emerged as the standout nations, securing top honors in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.

Men’s Golf Results, Team South Africa (21 points); Silver: Team Nigeria (10 points) and Bronze: Team Kenya (8 points).

South Africa dominated the men’s event, showcasing consistent teamwork and skill to claim the gold medal, while Nigeria and Kenya completed the podium with impressive performances.

Women’s Golf Results, Gold: Team Nigeria (16 points); Silver: Team Tanzania (13 points) and Bronze: Team South Africa (7 points).

Meanwhile, in an intense volleyball clash, Algeria triumphed over Kenya with a 3-1 set victory to secure the top spot in the standings.

1st Set: Algeria dominated with a commanding 25-14 win; 2nd Set: Kenya fought back fiercely, edging out Algeria 25-23 to level the match.

3rd Set: Algeria regained momentum with a convincing 25-15 performance; 4th Set: In a nail-biting finish, Algeria sealed the match with a 26-24 victory.

This victory cements Algeria’s position at the top of the men’s volleyball table, showcasing their skill, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament.
