Lovlina, who will be competing in the 70kg category, took to twitter to vent her frustration, complaining that her training had been hampered since one of her personal coaches (strength and conditioning expert Amey Kolekar) was sent back to India while her other coach, Sandhya Gurung, hadn’t been able to enter the athletes village in Birmingham. Although she hasn’t taken names, it is understood that her complaints are against the Boxing Federation of India.

Border's advice for Head: Improve against spin to emulate Hayden's success during '01 India tour

Allan Border has advised southpaw Travis Head to improve his technique against spinners if he wants to replicate Matthew Hayden's success when Australia tour India for four-Test series next year. Head was named as the 'Player of the Series' during the last Ashes but his form drastically dipped in sub-continental conditions (against Pakistan and Sri Lanka) where he managed to aggregate only 91 runs with the highest score of 26. "He's (Head) got to sit down and work out a method better than it's going at the moment, that's for sure," Border was quoted as saying in cricket.com.au.

My coaches are being harassed regularly, politics is affecting my training: Lovlina Borgohain

Commonwealth Games are being hampered because of the "continuous harassment" her coaches are facing from the authorities. The Indian boxing squad reached the Games Village on Sunday night after a training stint in Ireland but Lovlina's personal coach Sandhya Gurung could not enter the Village since she does not have accreditation. Lovlina, perhaps, wanted her personal coach Amey Kolekar with her during the CWG but he did not feature in the long list. The decorated pugilist expressed her anger in a long Twitter post. "Today with a lot of grief, I want to tell everyone about the continuous harassment going on with me. The coaches who helped me win an Olympic medal are always being side-lined which has severely impacted my training schedule," Lovlina wrote in her twitter post.
