Sri Lanka's cricket has proved a point to the world with their sixth Asia Cup title after his unbeaten 71 set up a commanding 23-run win over Pakistan. BCCI, the UT Cricket Association (UTCA) on Sunday received a major shot in the arm, as the city cricket body has been allotted to host 22 matches, including a women’s Under-19 T20 tournament in the forthcoming domestic season, starting October 1. With hardly any domestic cricket being played in the city for the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, cricketing action will return to Chandigarh from October 1 when it hosts the Under-19 women’s T20 tournament involving six Group F teams -- Baroda, Kerala, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Haryana and Manipur.
