India To Play On Used ILT20 Pitches In Champions Trophy? Report Reveals 'Specific Instructions'

India might not have to play their Champions Trophy league games in Dubai on slow and worn out end-of-the-season tracks as two 22-yard strips in relatively fresh condition have been kept for the most followed side in global cricket. India play all their three league matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS) against Bangladesh on February 20, Pakistan on February 23 and New Zealand on March 2. There has been a fair amount of cricket being played at the DICS after last year's Women's T20 World Cup, which was followed by the men's U-19 Asia Cup and the popular IL T20 league which is a flagship event of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB).

"Not Dissimilar To Jasprit Bumrah": 'Cheating' Accusation Against Australia Star Triggers Debate

Australia spinner Matt Kuhnemann found himself in a bit of a turmoil after Sri Lanka complained against his action in recently-concluded Test series. Former Australia captain Tim Paine jumped into the chatter around the subject, suggesting Kuhnemann's action isn't too dissimilar to India's pace icon Jasprit Bumrah. Paine didn't welcome an accusation, as big as 'throwing' being made against the young Australian spinner. "I think there's a bit of flexion, not dissimilar to a Jasprit Bumrah," Paine said.

In Jasprit Bumrah's Absence, Imrul Kayes Calls This India Pacer "Big Threat" To Bangladesh

Former Bangladesh opener Imrul Kayes reckons the absence of Jasprit Bumrah will provide his team an opportunity to put India's pace attack under pressure when the two teams open their Champions Trophy campaign on February 20. India go into the game as overwhelming favourites as Bangladesh enter the tournament at the back of a long struggling spell in the ODIs. “India is a strong side with a great bowling attack and batting lineup. But Bumrah is not in the squad. We all know what he has done in the last two years for Indian cricket. His absence gives Bangladesh a chance to capitalize,” Kayes told PTI Videos.

"There Was No Communication": Snubbed Ajinkya Rahane Throws BCCI Selectors, Management Under The Bus

One of the few Indian batters who have consistently delivered for the country on overseas assignments, Ajinkya Rahane hasn't just been another victim to the talent pool the country has. Once the most reliable No. 4 batter in Test cricket, Rahane's stocks have fallen so hard over the last 2 years that he is no longer in the national team's scheme of things in any of the three formats. Though not the most outspoken cricketers India have produced, Rahane did expose a flaw in the current selection committee, saying no communication took place from the bosses over his exit from the Test team after the 2023 World Test Championship final.

Mumbai Indians Look To Put Run-Out Controversy Behind Against Gujarat Giants

Gujarat Giants will seek more runs from their top-order to extend their belligerent run with the bat while Mumbai Indians will look to hit their strides after a tough opener in the Women's Premier League in Vadodara on Tuesday. Gujarat Giants, who finished last in the previous two seasons, seem to have fix their batting woes with Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner doing the heavy lifting in the first two games. Beth Mooney has scored a fifty at the top of the order but her opening partner Laura Wolvaardt is yet to come good.

Indian Men Beat Spain 2-0 In FIH Pro League; Women Lose 1-2 In Shoot-Out vs England

India lost to Spain 1-3 in the first match of the leg on Saturday despite taking the lead through Sukhjeet Singh's goal.
