"Kabhi Kabhi Bol Deta Hun": Rohit Sharma Breaks Silence On Outburst On Young India Stars During England Tests

India captain Rohit Sharma hailed the performance of the debutants in the recently concluded Test series vs England and called the series one of the toughest of his Test career. Speaking exclusively about the hard-fought series on Team Ro on Instagram, Rohit said, “A five Test match series is always tough, always hard, a lot of challenges through that one and a half to two months that we need to go through. It was a very different experience to play that five Test series and against an opposition like England, we knew it was never going to be easy. We have to be at our best and certainly towards the end, I could say that we are at our best to come out on top on four occasions. So very, very pleased with how we played that series.”

Convicted Of Rape, Ex-Brazil Star Dani Alves Freed On Bail For 1 Million Euros

Former Brazil international footballer Dani Alves is to be released from jail pending an appeal against his rape conviction in exchange for posting bail of one million euros ($1.08 million), a Barcelona court said Wednesday. The ruling came a day after his lawyer requested the 40-year-old's release on grounds he had already served a quarter of his four-and-a-half-year sentence in pre-trial detention following his arrest in January 2023. In its ruling, the court granted him "provisional release" in exchange for "the bail payment of 1,000,000 euros" also requiring he hand over his Spanish and Brazilian passports, remain in Spain and present himself to court "on a weekly basis".

"Arey Bhai Insaan hai": Rohit Sharma Hits Out At Critics Of India's 100 Test Veteran R Ashwin

For Rohit Sharma, the India vs England Test series has been a big learning curve. Missing top stars due to injury and other reasons, Rohit Sharma marshalled a group of debutants to defeat a strong England side. He had by his side experienced campaigners like R Ashwin too, who had a special series. The veteran off-spinner was the top wicket-taker in the series with 26 scalps in 10 innings. He had to deal with tough times on the personal front as his mother suffered a health emergency.

Russian, Belarusian Athletes Not Part Of Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

Olympic chiefs announced Tuesday that Russian and Belarusian athletes competing in this summer's Paris Games under a neutral flag will not be able to take part in the opening ceremony. Individual Neutral Athletes (AINs) from either country "will not participate in the parade of delegations and teams during the opening ceremony since they are individual athletes", IOC director James Macleod said after an executive board meeting of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne. "But an opportunity will be provided to them to experience the event," added Macleod. The AINs will be on site, he said, but not included as passengers on the boat parade on the River Seine on July 26.
