Rohit Sharma Surpasses Virat Kohli In IPL Honours List, Soars Back To Form

Mumbai Indians and Team India icon Rohit Sharma soared back to form with a brilliant knock of 76 runs off 45 balls in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match on Sunday. Rohit, whose dismal run with the bat had become a big worry for the franchise, was finally able to convert his start into a big score. In the process, Rohit also surpassed Virat Kohli in the IPL honours list. Courtesy of his unbeaten knock of 76 runs, Rohit was named the Player of the Match against CSK. Harsha Bhogle, Simon Doull Red-Flagged, BCCI Urged To No Let Duo Commentate At Eden Gardens: Report

Amid complaints against home pitch curators from the captains and coaches of several Indian Premier League (IPL) teams, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to ban Harsha Bhogle and Simon Doull from commentating on matches at the Eden Gardens. The request from CAB came after Doull and Bhogle suggested the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) move out of the city over the home curator's lack of support in preparing pitches as per the franchise's demands.

Virat Kohli Unhappy After Getting Man Of The Match vs Punjab Kings. Says: "Should Go To..."

Anchoring yet another successful chase with his well-calculated knock, batting star Virat Kohli says the strategy of him holding one end tight while others play in their usual aggressive style is working well for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB won their fifth away game in as many matches with Kohli scoring an unbeaten 73 off 54 balls in a chase of 158 against Punjab Kings. The win came less than 48 hours losing to the same opponents. Kohli shared a 103-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal (61) to crush the hosts by seven wickets.

McLaren's Oscar Piastri won the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Sunday from Red Bull polesitter Max Verstappen to lead the world championship for the first time in his career after one of his "toughest" ever races. Fede Valverde Stunner Saves Real Madrid Title Hopes Against Athletic Bilbao

Fede Valverde's superb 93rd minute strike kept Real Madrid on Barcelona's tail in the Spanish title race, earning the champions a 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday. Madrid stayed four points behind Barca after Valverde smashed into the top corner with a sliced, swerving effort. After Champions League elimination by Arsenal it looked like Madrid were set for another devastating result until the Uruguay international's stoppage-time intervention. "Fede has such a good shot... in training yesterday he shot a ball that looked like it was going out and then it picked up a curl like that and you go 'how do you shoot like that?'" said Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
