1st Time In History: Tilak Varma Scores 151 Off 67 Balls, Sets Huge World Record

India's young batter Tilak Varma etched his name into the record books on Saturday, becoming the first player to score three consecutive T20 hundreds. The 22-year-old Hyderabad captain achieved the historic feat in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy opener against Meghalaya, at Saurashtra Cricket Stadium C, where he smashed 151 off just 67 balls - the highest individual T20 score by an Indian male cricketer. Tilak's blistering knock featured 14 fours and 10 towering sixes as he powered Hyderabad to a commanding total. His innings surpassed Shreyas Iyer's previous record of 147 as the best T20 score by an Indian.

"Who's Out?" Rahul Dravid Can't Keep Calm, Halts RR's IPL Auction Meet For India vs Australia Test

Rahul Dravid had an interesting journey as Indian cricket team coach. After quite a few near misses at the helm, Dravid tasted glory at the 2024 T20 World Cup with the Indian cricket team ending an 11-year ICC title drought in great fashion in the West Indies. That was Dravid's last tournament as India coach. Now, Dravid has joined Rajasthan Royals as coach. Come Sunday, RR and other IPL teams will engage in a tussle at the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Like all teams, RR is also preparing hard for the auction.

"I Bowl Faster...": Mitchell Starc Warns Harshit Rana After Bouncer Barrage, Then India Pacer Hits Him On... - Watch

Things are getting heated up in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. After a 17-wicket Day 1, the action on Day 2 started with Jasprit Bumrah dismissing Alex Carey. Then Harshit Rana too joined the party with the wicket of Nathan Lyon. The debutant pacer bowled full tilt generating bounce from the Perth track. In fact, he went on to give the Australia a taste of his bounce barrage. So much so, that Starc issued Rana a cheeky warning: "I bowl faster than you. I have a long memory". He indicated that Rana might face the same bouncer music.

India vs Australia: Jasprit Bumrah Enters Elite List Of India Captains. Not Even Rohit Sharma And Virat Kohli Part Of It

India captain Jasprit Bumrah deservedly got his 11th five-wicket haul while debutant Harshit Rana bowled a fiery opening spell as Australia were bowled out for 104 at the stroke of lunch despite a stiff last-wicket resistance from Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood on the second day of the opening Test here on Saturday.  The Indian team would be a touch disappointed that they couldn't get a handy lead, which seemed to be on the cards once Australia were reduced to 79 for 9. But Starc (26 off 113 balls) shielded Hazlewood (7 not out off 31 balls) admirably during their 25-run last-wicket stand that lasted 18 overs and got the lead below 50 (46 runs), making it a contest of who bats better in the second innings.

Jasprit Bumrah Equals Kapil Dev For Monumental Feat In Indian Cricket With Fifer vs Australia

Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah made history on Saturday, securing his seventh five-wicket haul in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) countries, tying with legendary Kapil Dev for most by an Indian bowler in aforementioned countries. Bumrah added yet another feather to his hat and added to his legacy as India's all-time great in SENA conditions during the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Perth against Australia. India has a weak record in SENA countries historically and started improving their record in 2000s.

India vs Australia: Jasprit Bumrah Gifts Steve Smith 'Unwanted Career First' In Perth Test

Jasprit Bumrah ran past Australia's batting line-up like a hot knife through butter, returning figures of 4/17 on Day 1 of the 1st Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Friday. Bumrah, who is leading the team in the absence of captain Rohit Sharma, did the damage with the ball after India collapsed to 150, having opted to bat first. However, Bumrah demolished the Australian top order in a devastating spell with Australia  in disarray on 67-7 at the end of the day's play.

Watch: Virat Kohli's Epic Act After Mohammed Siraj Gets Into Heated Exchange With Australia Star

India pacer Mohammed Siraj had an heated exchange with Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne on Day 1 of the 1st Test in Perth on Friday. The incident happened after the 4th ball of the 13th over of Australia's innings in the post-Tea session. Tempers flared between the two as Siraj bowled a short of a length delivery which nipped back and hit Labuschagne on the top of his pad. Since Labuschagne was out of his crease and the ball was close to the stumps, Siraj reacted and ran towards the striker's end to pick the ball
