Sanjay Manjrekar Under Fire, Slammed For On-Air Remarks: "Urgent Servicing..."

Cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has come under the scanner after his recent remarks on former India pacer R Vinay Kumar. Manjrekar, who is part of the commentary team for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, was recently asked whether the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) deploy any special approach to counter fast bowling at the domestic level. In response, Manjrekar pointed out how BCCI had asked state associations to prepare tracks with extra grass, but the practice has been discontinued now.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25: Australia To Add Uncapped Beau Webster To Squad For Pink-Ball Test

Australia are set to add uncapped fast-bowling all-rounder Beau Webster into their squad for the second Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test, to be played with the pink ball in Adelaide, starting on December 6. A report by News Corp on Wednesday said Webster has been picked up as an injury cover for fellow all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who has pulled up "sore" following the series opener, where Australia suffered a 295-run loss to India inside four days at Perth Stadium. Though there's a ten-day gap between first and second Tests, if Marsh fails to recover in time for the Adelaide game, after bowling more than ten overs in Perth, then Webster has a chance to become Australia's 468th men's Test cricketer.

Sean Abbott was seen wiping away tears as family and friends paid tribute to the late Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes on Wednesday to mark the 10-year anniversary of his tragic death after being struck on the neck while batting. Abbott bowled the fatal delivery that struck Hughes during a Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and South Australia in 2014 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. NSW players consoled Abbott as they stood for an emotional tribute, including observing a minute's silence, before the start of play on day four of their Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania at the SCG.

IPL 2025 Auction: "Flawed" - Australia Great's Brutal Verdict On Sunrisers Hyderabad Buying Ishan Kishan For Rs 11.25 Crore

Former Australian cricket team star Tom Moody was left a bit surprised by Sunrisers Hyderabad paying Rs 11.25 Crore to buy Ishan Kishan in the IPL 2025 Auction. The wicket-keeper batter, who was released by Mumbai Indians, was left out of the BCCI central contracts and has not played for India in the past year. However, Sunrisers went hard for his services and ended up breaching the Rs 10-crore mark to add him to their side for IPL 2025. Moody said that with SRH already having Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma as a set opening duo, Kishan's addition was 'flawed' in his opinion.
