Ex-Pacer, Once Victim Of A Sachin Tendulkar Rampage, Is Now A Painter In Australia

Former Zimbabwe fast bowler Henry Olonga is someone remembered fondly by Indians, for he was the victim of a Sachin Tendulkar rampage in 1998. Playing the final of a triangular series between India, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, Tendulkar smashed 124 off 92 balls, taking Olonga to the cleaners. Over 25 years later, however, Olonga's life has taken an unprecedented turn. In 2019, Olonga went viral as he wowed judges in 'The Voice Australia' singing competition. Now, Olonga is a part-time painter for social causes, and was present during the second Test between India and Australia at Adelaide.

"No Way That's Cramp...": Injury Concern For Jasprit Bumrah? Report Makes Explosive Claim

The Indian cricket team had its first training session on Tuesday after the heavy loss against Australia in the pink-ball Test match. While most India cricketers attended the session, there were two major absentees - Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. According to a report by Sydney Morning Herald, both the fast bowlers skipped practice as part of workload management. However, the sight of Bumrah spending time with India's strength and conditioning coach on the sidelines of the practice session has sparked a massive concern. During the second Test match, Bumrah was seen holding his inner thigh in pain and although he continued bowling, there were some experts who were left concerned.

Big Change In India XI For 3rd Australia Test? Cheteshwar Pujara Says "Batting Wasn't Good..."

Following a crushing ten-wicket defeat to Australia in Adelaide, India's hopes of bouncing back in the third Test in Brisbane have taken centre stage. With the series tied 1-1, the stakes are higher than ever, and seasoned batter Cheteshwar Pujara has suggested a key change to the playing XI. Pujara advocated for Washington Sundar's inclusion in place of Ravichandran Ashwin to bolster India's batting depth and regain control in the crucial series. Pujara's recommendation comes after Ashwin's underwhelming performance in Adelaide, where he managed figures of 1/53 in 18 overs. While Ashwin is one of India's most experienced bowlers, Pujara believes the team may need Sundar's all-round abilities to address their recent batting struggles.

Rohit Sharma A Better No. 6 Option Than Opener vs Australia? Report Makes Startling Claim

He is being encouraged to return to opening by the talking heads of Indian cricket but Rohit Sharma may just avoid being swayed by the proverbial outside noise and stick to the number six slot for at least the third Test against Australia in Brisbane starting this weekend. Rohit, who was on paternity break during the opening Test and scored 3 and 6 on his return during the 'Pink Ball' game, is facing calls for his return to the top in the batting order in place of KL Rahul, who too had an indifferent game in Adelaide after his heroics in Perth. If one looks at Rohit's statistics in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia), across all batting positions in 46 completed innings, he averages a shade less than 30 while in 20 innings as opener, he scores at 37.8 thanks largely to the successful English summer of 2021.

"It's All...": Mohammed Siraj Breaks Silence On ICC Punishment For Travis Head Send-Off Row

Despite a 20 percent match fee fine and widespread criticism regarding his reaction, India pacer Mohammed Siraj seems to have put the incident with Australia's Travis Head behind. Ahead of the third Test in Brisbane (which kickstarts on December 14), Siraj gave a positive reaction to the fine handed to him. Siraj had engaged in a verbal spat with Head during the second Test, after the bowler had given an animated send-off. But now, the dust seems to have settled.  When asked about the fine, Siraj responded positively. "Yeah man, it's all good," was Siraj's reaction, as reported by Australian media outlet Sydney Morning Herald.

"Stung By Criticism": Australia Legend Explains Motivation For Team's Massive 2nd Test Win vs India

Legendary wicketkeeper-batter Adam Gilchrist believes Australia were "stung" by the criticism following their loss in Perth, but have returned to their best, driven by captain Pat Cummins' controlled aggression. Australia, who had drawn a lot of flak for the 295-run loss in the opening Perth Test, bounced back by registering an emphatic 10-wicket win in the second game to level the five match series 1-1. "You could see just through his (Cummins) celebrations that… every wicket that he took he was more aggressive in his celebration," Gilchrist said on Fox Cricket.

"Had Many Chances In Second Half...": D Gukesh After Loss To Ding Liren In World Chess Championship Game 12

Indian Challenger D Gukesh is obviously disappointed to have lost the advantage in the closing stage of the World Championships by surrendering the 12th game to Ding Liren, and admitted that he had many chances in the second-half of the intriguing contest. With just two games to go, the championship match is heading towards an exciting finish. Both players are tied on six points each. "This game is a bit of a disappointment. Luckily I have a rest day tomorrow, I will just try to play good games," Gukesh said after losing the 12th game. The Indian teenager though said he and the defending champion are displaying quality chess in the second half of the match.
