24 teams listed for Maiden Lagos Athletics Club Series
24 teams across the country were able to meet the February 15 deadline for the registration of clubs for the maiden Lagos Athletics Club Series. The tournament, which is a four-leg event, will begin its first leg at the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) Sports Complex tomorrow. According to the Technical Director, Lagos State Athletics Association (LASAA), Enefiok Udo-Obong, the 24 teams that met the criteria for the registration will compete at the one-day championships while there are opportunities for more teams to join in the second leg.

Kaduna State outclassed NCS 2-0 (21-18, 21-15) in the last group stages match at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium. Kaduna State beach volleyball team captain, Uchenna Austin said he was excited to top the group that has NCS in it. “Don’t forget that one of the players won the 2022 President Beach Volleyball Cup with OMIGuard VC. Kaduna state is going for gold and we want the trophy to stay in Kaduna. We’re confident of making Nigeria proud at various international championships this year”.
