Lagos State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), yesterday, announced that accreditation for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham is not hinged on possession of SWAN or International Sports Press Association (AIPS) identity cards.
To select Nigeria’s contingent for the 2022 World School Athletics Championships held in Turkey later this year, the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF) is organising a two-day trial at the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) in Lagos from today.
Apart from being an avenue for Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF) to select athletes for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom, the national trials slated for February 22 to 25 in Lagos will also herald a new era for the sport in the country, the NJF has said.
