The Olympic flame will arrive in Marseille on May 8 before a torch relay takes it around the country on its way to Paris ahead of the start of the 2024 Olympic Games in July. As is tradition, the torch will be lit at the birthplace of the ancient Games in Olympia, Greece, before taking a nine-day tour of the country which ends at the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens.

Chris Froome won't get the chance to fulfil his «ultimate goal» of appearing at the 2023 Tour de France after the four-time winner was left out of his Israel – Premier Tech team. Froome recently said riding the Tour was his main objective of 2023, and declared his ambition to try and win a stage after going close on Alpe d'Huez last year.
