The next few months could be decisive in assessing how the latter part of Jurgen Klopp’s reign pans out at Liverpool.

The Reds are still in with a shout of winning both the Champions League and Premier League, all while having to withstand the uncertainty of Mo Salah’s contract situation.

However, what is for certain is how Liverpool are going to act in the transfer market.

It would appear as though Klopp and co are going to continue their recent mantra of planning for the future.

That’s according to Football Insider who claimed this week that they have now agreed a deal with Celtic to sign exciting 16-year-old prodigy Ben Doak.

Recruitment sources have told the outlet that a move has also been arranged for the transfer of Fulham’s Fabio Carvalho.

It’s understood that Doak will cost the club just £600,000.

There is often great pressure upon young shoulders in football today and comparisons between past and present are rife.

However, when it comes to Doak, there is a rather obvious connection to make.

Indeed, Liverpool have history when it comes to ex-Celtic players with Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson previously being on the books of the Glaswegian giants.

Arguably the most famous example is that of Kenny Dalglish, a bonafide Liverpool legend.

Dalglish came through the ranks at Celtic Park and would play over 300 times for them.

That was before a switch to Liverpool in 1977/78 when he tore English football apart, scoring 172 goals in a whopping 515 outings.

The Scot went down in history as one of the best to play the game in Merseyside and in Doak, they have someone of similar stock.
