Sold for £1.7m, now worth £31.5m: Shi had Wolves disaster over 37-goal Ronaldo "heir" - opinion

Wolves‘ struggles in front of goal are well documented, and addressing their problems in the final third could be manager Bruno Lage’s first area he needs to address ahead of the start of the next season.

Just five teams in the Premier League have failed to put the ball in the back of the net more than the Portuguese boss’ side, with Leeds as far down as 16th having scored more times this campaign.

Raul Jimenez is the club’s top scorer with six in the league, while Hwang Hee-chan has just five, and £36m teenager Fabio Silva has failed to find the back of the net at all this season.

Just a year later, Sporting Lisbon signed the now-23-year-old for £5.8m, after an encouraging season which saw him make 15 goal contributions in 40 appearances for Famalicao – and since then, he has gone from strength-to-strength scoring 37 goals for the Portuguese side in just 70 appearances.

Now a two-time Portugal
