Sky Sports figure can 'get on board' with exciting Celtic news

Presenter and reporter Eilidh Barbour is excited on Twitter to see that Celtic are set to take part in a winter tournament in Australia.

Celtic have confirmed that they will be travelling to Australia to participate in a winter tournament during the World Cup break – which has been labelled the ‘AngeBall world tour’ – and it will allow Australians to see their former national team manager once again.

Ange Postecoglou has been a sensation at Celtic this season, bringing in some top signings such as Joe Hart, Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate and Cameron Carter-Vickers, as well as having the Bhoys sitting impressively at the top of the SPFL heading into the business end of the campaign.

With Old Firm rivals Rangers set to be involved as well, Barbour is excited about this tournament from a personal point of view, which could see Celtic playing in unusually sunny conditions.

TIF Thoughts on this mid-season tournament…

It will be a great chance for Postecoglou and also Tom Rogic to get back to their home country. If Australia don’t qualify for the World Cup, having their friends and family watching them playing football for their club could be something to look forward to, however, something that makes this a little bit more interesting is that Celtic’s city rivals Rangers are said to be participating in the tournament.

This could also be a chance for Celtic to get some warm-weather training under their belts and make use of the unusual mid-season break because of the World Cup.
